One Year Stats

Tim and I took Grady to his one year appointment yesterday. He is a very healthy boy and developmentally, he is right on track. He had a conversation going with the doctor the entire visit, which the doctor really enjoyed. We recently changed pediatricians and our new one spent a good hour with us. I was pleasantly surprised because it was a big change from our previous office. He watched Grady walk, talk, interact with us, and we went over his meals, and planning for the arrival of our baby girl. The doctor's advice was to integrate the two as much as possible and as soon as possible so that is exactly what we are going to do. It is what we did with the dogs when Grady arrived and we plan on doing it again. We include everyone in everything rather than exclude them.

Grady also had to get one vaccination. We only give him one at a time and he handled it like a big boy. Don't worry, he gets them all eventually. Just not all at once. His measurements are 31 inches and 24 lbs. He is at 90% for height and head size and 60% for weight. He is tracking right where he has been so far, still long and lean. He is wearing 24 month size clothing for the most part although he can still fit in some of his 18 month stuff and is wearing 2T in some things too. I keep waiting for the day his growth will slow down!

He loves brushing his teeth so we gave him a big toothbrush to play with.
