21 and 7

Grady is now 21 months old and Gretta is 7 months old as of today. I am going to try and sum up their developments of the last month in a couple of paragraphs.

Gretta's 6 month of life was huge in terms of development. She had a growth spurt so she is now wearing 9 month clothes. Her two bottom teeth have finally arrived and she started eating solid foods. Her first solid food was a piece of poppy seed muffin she grabbed off of my plate during the super bowl. She stuffed a fist full of muffin in her mouth so fast I couldn't stop her. After that she ate some hot dog and since then has tried everything we eat. She completely skipped the baby jar's and cereal stage. Now if we are all eating and she isn't, she throws a fit. She is also surprisingly good at feeding herself finger food. We are very careful with letting her do this but she can do it. Gretta also started crawling and can push herself up to a sitting position. She still loves playing with Grady. I can't wait until they can both run around together.

Grady has a new favorite item. It is the "choo-choo train". Around Arizona there are many train parks. He especially loves the one that goes around the entire bottom floor of our main mall, the Chandler Fashion Mall. So he rides one at least once a week. He also knows where they are so if we are at the mall, he starts saying "choo-choo" and then we must ride the "choo-choo". He still loves his trucks, cars, wheels, balls, swimming, biking, music and dogs. The biggest development for him in the past month was saying good-bye to the bottle. It went extremely well. No relapse. He still asks for it once in a while but we just hand him some milk right away and he forgets all about it.

These kids are growing up so fast. We don't know where the time goes but one thing is for sure, it keeps on ticking. We are enjoying every minute because we know we definitely can't get any of it back.
Playing "Hide and Seek".
Enjoying some chocolate before bedtime.
